Paralyzed Bride Taught Herself How To Walk Down The Aisle For Her Wedding!

On July 12, 2008, Jaquie Goncher was paralyzed from the neck down, from a swimming accident. She went to a friend’s house after work, dove into her pool, and ended up breaking her neck. From then on, she was paralyzed. The vertebrae in the neck, C1 and C2, were fractured, while C5 was completely shattered.

After surgery, the surgeon told her and her mother she would never walk again, but a month after, she flicked her toe for the first time. This action left the surgeon completely shocked, as this was seemingly impossible given her condition.

After this, Jaquie built her strength through exhausting physical therapy and training in the gym.
